Vacuum blood collection tube is a commonly used laboratory consumable, which is mainly used to collect and store blood samples. According to different classification standards, there are many types of vacuum blood collection tubes. According to the state of blood sample, it can be divided into serum tube and plasma tube; According to the different additives, it can be divided into ordinary tubes, rapid tubes and anticoagulant tubes.

In order to ensure the stability of blood samples, the darker tubes should be drawn first, and then the lighter tubes should be drawn. Specifically, the sodium citrate coagulation test tube should be drawn first for coagulation function testing; Then the plasma separation tube is pumped for plasma biochemical detection; Then heparin anticoagulation tube was pumped for routine blood test and cell culture; Finally, common serum tube and rapid serum tube were drawn for serum biochemical detection and immunological detection.

Different colors of vacuum blood collection tube head cover represent different meanings, as follows:

Ordinary serum tube: red skull, without additives, used for routine serum biochemical, blood bank and serological related tests. There is no need to shake after blood drawing, and the specimen preparation type is serum.

Rapid serum tube: orange-red skull with coagulant, which can accelerate the coagulation process. Suitable for emergency serum series tests. After blood drawing, it is necessary to mix it upside down for 5-8 times. When the room temperature is low, you can put it in a water bath at 37℃ for 10-20min, and centrifuge the upper serum for later use.

Inert separating glue accelerating tube: golden head cover with inert separating glue and accelerating agent added.

Heparin anticoagulant tube: green head cover with heparin added. Heparin has antithrombin effect and can prolong the coagulation time of samples. Because it can make the background of blood smear appear light blue, it is not suitable for leukocyte classification.

Plasma separation tube: light green head cover. Adding heparin lithium anticoagulant into inert separation hose can achieve the purpose of rapid separation of plasma, which is the best choice for electrolyte detection. It can also be used for routine plasma biochemical detection and emergency plasma biochemical detection in ICU.

Sodium citrate blood coagulation test tube: light blue head cover, sodium citrate has anticoagulant effect mainly by chelating with calcium ions in blood samples.

In actual use, it is necessary to select the appropriate type and color of vacuum blood collection tube according to the specific detection requirements.
